Quarterly Reports

Dell’Oro Group publishes quarterly reports in February, May, August, and November. The reports contain:

Market Summary – The market summary provides a qualitative discussion and a quantitative summary covering the events that influenced the market during the recent calendar quarter and forecasting potential market moves in the near future. The qualitative discussion reviews such topics as pricing, promotions, channel inventories, and end user buying trends. The quantitative summary provides an overview of the technology segments in terms of unit and/or port shipments, and manufacturers' pricing and revenues (i.e., prices and revenues received by the manufacturer). The reports present quantitative information in quarterly increments, including available history as well as a four quarter rolling forecast.
Vendor Tables – The vendor tables present market data covering up to 25 vendors. For each vendor, the tables present data in quarterly increments, including any available history. The vendor tables reflect unit and/or port shipments, and manufacturers' pricing and revenues.

5-Year Forecasts

Dell’Oro Group publishes 5-year forecasts in January and July. The forecasts contain:

Market Summary – The market summary discusses the quantitative analysis, key assumptions, and significant market trends, and compares the current and previous forecasts.
Quantitative Analysis – The quantitative analysis considers unit and/or port shipment trends, and manufacturers' pricing and revenues. We develop each forecast by projecting, in quarterly increments one year into the future, the following variables for each of the main products/equipment types on the market: unit shipments and/or port shipments, prices, and revenue. We develop the forecast for years 2 through 5 by using the year 1 forecast as a basis and applying analysts' judgment to the expected interaction of market needs and competitive forces. The forecasts present information in annual increments 5 years into the future.

Direct Analyst Access

In addition to quarterly reports and semi-annual five-year forecasts, with your subscription to Dell’Oro Group market research services, you get direct analyst access.
